2020 dBDRA rule book

The dBDRA has announced that the rules for dB Drag Racing competition have been finalized. The new rules will be in effect for a minimum of 3 years (2020, 2021, and 2022.)

According to Wayne Harris, President of the dBDRA, "Stability is important to competitors who wish to build a vehicle for competition in dB Drag Racing. by locking down the rules for the next 3 years, The dBDRA is providing competitors the opportunity to work on their systems without worrying about potentially disruptive rules changes the following year."

Harris goes on to state that the dBDRA reserves the right to make minor tweaks to the rules if necessary...

  • The dBDRA reserves the right to address problematic rules and/or clarify rules that are unclear or confusing through the use of the rule book addendum.
  • The dBDRA reserves the right to add additional classes at any time.
  • At the conclusion of the 2020 season, the dBDRA reserves the right to eliminate one or both of the two new classes (Street Stock 500 and Extreme 5K) that were added this year if a lack of participation in these classes warrants their removal.
