September 18, 2020 - dB Drag Racing Rule Clarifications
A minimum separation of 30 inches (76.2 cm) must be maintained between the front surface of the seat backall seats (excluding the bottom cushions) and the sensor at all times.
Rule 1-4 Revision
The contestant must sit in the driver's seat and may not lean across the centerline of the vehicle. Additional passengers are prohibited.

May 4 2019 - dBDRA Imposes Requirements for Lithium Ion Battery Usage
There have been at least 3 incidents involving Lithium Ion batteries at dBDRA events this season.
The safety of the competitors, judges, and bystanders at a dB Drag Racing event are of paramount importance. As the operator of the competition vehicle and its sound system, the competitor has a tremendous responsibility both to himself and to those around him with regards to safety. The dB Drag Racing Association and its affiliates are not qualified to determine the safety and/or legality of a given competition vehicle. This responsibility lies with the competitor.
Requirements for competitors that use Lithium Ion batteries.
Effective immediately competitors who use these types of batteries must equip their vehicle with a fire extinguisher that is suitable for use against electrical fires.
