Reset
Procedure for Term-PAK Software Products
This article is obsolete as it no longer applies to products we currently sell. It is included here for archival purposes only.
Reset procedure for Term-PAK. (Assumes Term-PAK has been
installed on the computer but is not working. If Term-PAK has been deleted from
the hard drive, you must re-install Term-PAK before using this reset
procedure.)
Important: Entering a wrong reset code 10 times in
succession will disable the diskette. You must then return it to the factory for
repair. (Service charge applies.) Reset codes change each time you reset the
program.
- Make sure the original Term-PAK disk #1 is not write
protected.
- Select the Windows Start button.
- Select Programs.
- Select MS-DOS Prompt or Command Prompt from the
list of menu items.
- You should see a DOS window on the screen. Press
the Alt and Enter keys at the same time to switch to full screen mode. (If
the DOS session came up in full screen mode, you do not need to perform this
step.)
- Insert your Term-PAK disk #1 into drive A.
- Log on to drive A by typing A: and then pressing
Enter. You should see the A:\ prompt.
- Type Evmove /R and then press Enter.
- Note the serial number that is displayed on the
screen. It must match the serial number that accompanies the reset code
provided by technical support exactly. If the serial number does not match,
you must contact technical support for a new reset code.
- Press Enter if the date is correct, otherwise enter
the correct date.
- Enter your reset code when prompted and then press
Enter.
- After entering your reset code, the program should
say "Evmove completed successfully."
- Type Evmove A: C: and then press Enter.
- Type Y to confirm.
- After several seconds, the program may ask you for
some registration information. Enter this information. After several more
seconds, the program should say; "Authorization successfully
installed."
- Type Exit and then press Enter. You should be
returned to Windows.
- Remove your Term-PAK disk from drive A.
- Double-click on the Term-PAK icon to run the
program.
