dB Drag Racing Achieves 700 Event Milestone

According to Wayne Harris, president and founder of the dB Drag Racing Association, more than 736 events are now registered on the official 1999 dB Drag Racing calendar. “This has been a phenomenal year for dB Drag Racing”, said Harris. “Clearly, there is tremendous interest in our competition format.” The 1999 numbers reflect a 45% increase in dB Drag Racing events over the
previous season. “This is just the beginning”, said Harris. “Wait until you see the program we have lined up for Y2K!”
dB Drag Racing is a form of auto sound competition where contestants actually compete against one another to see who has the loudest car stereo system. The competitive nature of the event makes dB Drag Racing a true spectator sport. This is one of the key elements to dB Drag Racing’s skyrocketing popularity.
According to Harris, more than 15,000 competitors have participated in dB Drag Racing this year. In addition, it is estimated that more than 350,000 spectators have been exposed to the sport.
