dB Drag Racing Achieves 500 Event Milestone

According to Wayne Harris, president and founder of the dB Drag Racing Association, more than 500 events are now registered on the official 1998 dB Drag Racing calendar. “This has been a phenomenal year for dB Drag Racing”, said Harris. “At the beginning of the season our goal was to sanction 300 events. Obviously, we significantly underestimated the speed at which dB Drag Racing would catch on.”
dB Drag Racing is a form of auto sound competition where contestants actually compete against one another to see who has the loudest car stereo system. The competitive nature of the event makes dB Drag Racing a true spectator sport. This is one of the key elements to dB Drag Racing’s skyrocketing popularity.
According to Harris, more than 15,000 competitors have participated in dB Drag Racing this year. In addition, it is estimated that more than 150,000 spectators have been exposed to the sport.
