Glossary of Terms
Alts – Number of alternators permitted
Amps – Maximum number of physical amplifiers permitted
Battery Box – Battery box permitted
Battery Qty – Maximum number of batteries permitted
Battery Size – Physical size limits for each battery in cubic inches
Caps – Number of Farads permitted
Maximum Conductors – Maximum number of electrical conductors between the amplifier(s) and the sub enclosure. A normal speaker wire is composed of two conductors; 1 for positive and 1 for negative.
Normal Use – Normal use restriction applies
Podium – Podium use permitted
Power - When amplifier power limits are specified, the dBDRA will use the maximum published RMS rating for the amplifier. The dBDRA reserves the right to verify the accuracy of any published rating.
Run – Vehicle may be running during competition (Maximum RPM is limited to 2000.)
Standard Battery – 12-volt, 6-cell (connected in series), lead-acid or gel-type battery.
