The default power profile for the majority of Windows computers is "Balanced". Depending on the PC, this power profile may not provide enough power to finish all of the tasks required by the Term-LAB system in the limited amount of time available during measurements.
This article describes some steps you can take to improve performance by creating a new Windows Power Profile.
Click on the Windows Search Icon (Magnifying Glass).
Type "Power Plan" and then select "Choose Power Plan" from the list.
Click on "Create a power plan" in the left-hand column.
Select "High Performance" and change the "Plan name" to "Term-LAB" and then click "Next".
Select "Never" as shown below and then click "Create".
Next, click on "Change plan settings" next to the "Term-LAB" power plan.
Click on "Change advanced power settings"
Change the "Wireless Adapter Settings / Power Saving Mode" to "Maximum Performance".
