Problem: When you attempt to activate the Term-LAB software you are informed that the activation code "does not match".
This is the most common call we receive. Typically, this is caused when the user forgets to run Instacal prior to attempting to activate the Term-LAB software.
Make sure Term-LAB is attached to your computer.
If the "Term-LAB USB" device does not show up in the board list, you must start over. You must uninstall and then reinstall as outlined in the instructions.
Problem: When I launch Term-LAB the startup bargraph reaches 100% and then stops. Or, the program exits.
Make sure Term-LAB is NOT running in "compatibility mode".
Make sure an existing Term-LAB process is NOT running.
Problem: Instacal detects the Term-LAB USB device but I receive an error message stating that "The Serial Number Does Not Match" when activating the software.
If you previously activated the software BEFORE running the Instacal utility for the first time, you will need to contact WHE to resolve the problem.
If you are certain that you ran Instacal (and Instacal detected the Term-LAB USB device) BEFORE attempting to activate the software, please do the following...
Problem: Windows gives you a message that "the attached device has malfunctioned" when you attach Term-LAB to the computer.
This is typically caused by a loose processor chip on the PCB. (Maybe the box was dropped, etc.)
