Excellent! Welcome to Wayne's World.
This is the place to be if you want to know what's HOT and what's NOT. Speaking of hot, wait till you see the NEW Symmetry EPX signal processor. This bad boy is so way cool that I can hardly contain myself. In fact, I deserve a big fat bonus for this puppy. Or a date with a "dream woman" at least. Anyway, if high-tech, state-of- the-art, leading-edge audio technology interests you, then this is THE PIECE. Let me warn you now, however, buying this processor won't make you smart like me. It also won't make you rich like me. It won't even make you cool like me. What it will do is knock the socks off your auto sound system! Let me tell you why...
First, the EPX utilizes the same killer technology found in its big brother, the Symmetry CSV, but at a much lower price point. Unlike the CSV, however, the EPX integrates a high performance Equalizer, Preamp, and Crossover into a SINGLE, stand-alone signal processor, hence the name EPX. Both units are controlled via Remote Data Access Terminal or RDAT for short,
Preamp highlights include: two independent source inputs, each with its OWN isolated audio ground. This technique helps to prevent ground loops when using multiple source units. (Ground loops are really Bogus but we'll talk about them at another time.) Equalizer highlights include: 14 bands of equalization and 4 user-definable presets. Crossover highlights include: 10 independent crossover outputs that are adjustable in "real-time."
I'd like to tell you more about the EPX and its awesome capabilities, but some totally cool dude (NOT!) only gave me one measly column in this excellent publication!
Until next time...
PARTY ON!
